I need assignment help for a group project where everyone else is a slacker

I'm so frustrated. I have a group project in my marketing class, and I'm the only one doing any work. We have to create a full marketing plan for a local business, and my group members have contributed nothing. They don't respond to messages, they don't show up to meetings, and the deadline is next week. I can't do this whole project alone, but I also can't afford to fail. I'm considering hiring an assignment help service to do their portions so I can compile everything and submit. I feel guilty about this, but also angry that I'm in this position. Should I go to the professor first? Should I just do what I need to do to pass? Has anyone else been the only worker in a group project and how did you handle it?

I've been through this EXACT situation three times. Here's my battle-tested advice: 🛡️

Step 1: Document everything (today)
Screenshot all messages, emails, missed meetings. Create a timeline showing your attempts to contact them and their non-responses.

Step 2: Email your professor (today)
Be professional, not whiny. "I'm concerned about our group project progress. Despite multiple attempts to coordinate, I haven't received responses from members X and Y. I want to ensure I can complete my portion successfully. How would you like me to proceed?"

Step 3: Follow their advice
Most professors will either:
  • Allow you to work alone and be graded individually
  • Give you extension
  • Let you document their non-participation for grading purposes
Step 4: Only THEN consider assignment help
If the professor says "figure it out yourself" (unlikely), then you look into services. But make sure any help you get is for YOUR portion only, not covering for slackers.
